The Apple Doesn't Fall Far From the Tree....

The title says it all..

Happy New Year!

Even with 2 sick kids, we managed to celebrate 2009. Mommy made special celebration parfaits (vanilla pudding, cool-whip and MMs)! Happy 2009 to you all!

I went to the barbershop..

After Williamsburg, we went back to Winchester and decided that it was time for Duffy to get a haircut. What better place than to visit the barbershop where Pappy gets his hair chopped off???

What are they doing to my brother?

Off to Williamsburg we go!

After a few days in Winchester, Duffy, Lulu and I went down to see "the cousins" in Williamsburg. It was quite a memorable trip with Duffy being sick but we still had a great time and loved seeing everyone.

A Star is Born! Part 2

Lulu's Gee-Tar

As many of you know, the ONE thing Lulu wanted from Santa was a guitar, also known as gee-tar. That Santa sure is special as he found one-PINK with her name on it. It was such a joy to see Lulu open up her special gift.

SANTA's HERE!

Just a few shots of Duffy and Lulu opening their presents. Duffy was very good with Lulu, provided brotherly advice (not ripping open all of her gifs) and as a big surprise, they each tried taking turns and watching each other.

And Who Can Forget the Motorcycle Ride and Clifford?

Off to see Santa!

We were also lucky to have the chance to go visit Santa at the Apple Blossom Mall--what an experience. While both kids hid behind my back when it was our turn, it all turned out well. But the best part of visiting Santa was riding the train. I think Pappy enjoyed just as much as Duffy and Lulu.

Who's that calling?

Realize these Christmas postings are very late but you know the saying..better late than never!

One of the best treats of Christmas this year was that on December 23rd, Santa called Duffy and Lulu and Mimi and Pappy's house. Duffy and Lulu loved speaking to him and Santa reminded them to leave out cookies, milk and carrots and oatmeal for Rudolph. He also asked to leave some scotch if at all possible--for the record, we didn't meet that request.
