Who is my teacher?

The annual tradition and trek to school to find who who Duffy and Lulu have for their teachers this year.  Lulu was thrilled because all of her friends were in her class. Duffy….not so much but he always makes the best of it.

Oh..and one more birthday celebration..

Duffy had a great birthday party at the pool.  It turned into a birthday celebration and back to school celebration all in one.  He had a great time and loved spending time with his friends.

Happy Birthday Duffy! You are 9!!!

Duffy:

Happy 9th birthday!  What a great way to celebrate your birthday.  You are with all of your cousins at Sea Island and you are having a great time.  You have so much freedom this trip.  You are running around with your cousins, enjoying fishing and loving the summer fun.

It has been a great year. You have grown up so much. You still just love to play.  You will do anything to just play with your friends.  You love to be outside running around and having fun.  Third grade was a challenge for us in the beginning.  You had a lot of homework and you just wanted to play. And play. And play.  But you got in the swing of it and realized it was important to study and do your best.

You made a lot of new friends and really enjoyed your time playing sports.  You were able to play lacrosse for the first time this spring and you love it.  You are getting so good and really learning to understand the sport.  You also played soccer, basketball and swimming this year.

But most importantly, you are happy.  You love life and you love being with people. You make friends very easily and are so considerate of others.  You have a great personality and sense of humor and I love it when you make me laugh.

Mommy and Daddy want the best for you and we will continue to push you to do your best.  You have so much to offer the world and we want what is best for you.  You are smart, so handsome and have such a wonderful personality.  You will have so many options in life if you work hard.

I have big dreams for you my duffydoo!  I love you with all my heart, all my smiles and with all my laughs. Thank you for making me happy every single day.

Off to Sea Island we go...

This summer, all of Stephen's family headed off to Sea Island for a week of fun in the sun and wonderful beach memories.  It truly is one of my favorite places to vacation.  We had a great time and loved being with our cousins!
