Show and Tell

Duffy brought his cubs hat (out of my purse at the last minute). There is great video with Duffy showing his classmates his hat but the video won't upload.

Duffy's Preschool Graduation

Today, was Duffy's "graduation" from preschool. Well, really a picnic for the end of the year but since he is going to kindergarten in the fall, it was his graduation. We had a great time together and I am so proud of him.

Happy Memorial Day 2009!

It was a great weekend, but on Monday (Memorial Day), we were served with a bit of rain and thunder so the pool was not an option. Duffy and Lulu were disappointed so we made do in my bathtub. Happy Memorial Day 2009!

Wrestlemania, Round One.

At the end of the party, Lulu and Duffy found the time to wrestle each other. One of the new favorite things to do in an outdoor setting. Mom and Dad serve as the refs.

Have no fear, Lulu's here!

Yesterday, we went to the fantastic annual crawfish party at our friend Kevin's house. It's always a great time and it's super fun for the kids. Here are some pictures of the kids (and us) playing with the crawfish before they become our dinner. Lulu had NO FEAR. She loved playing with them. Even I dug deep and picked one up.

Dear, deer!

On Saturday night we had some friend over for dinner. At the tail end of our dinner, one of our guest, said "There are two deer walking down the middle of your street". I ran to get the camera but these are shots of them going into the backyard of the neighbor across the street. One of the coolest things I've seen in awhile.

Halloween in May?

On Saturday, I was getting dressed and it became very, very quiet. Alert, Alert. I walked into my bathroom and Duffy had decided to put makeup on Lulu. He used the eye shadow brush, dipped into my blush and painted Lulu's forehead. You need to look closely, but if you look above her eyebrows, you see a lovely shade of MAC blush.

What did he say?

Yesterday, Duffy turned to me and said, "Mom, I really like your panties. They are beautiful." Me: "Excuse me, what did you say?". Duffy: "Mom, I love you panties."
Me: "I'm sorry, Duffy?" Duffy (pointing the table with flowers), "Right, there. Your panties are beautiful". Me: "Ohhhh, you mean peonies". Yes. They are beautiful!"

Happy Days!

I love this picture of Duffy and this is a picture of Lulu getting ready for a princess birthday party. Cuteness!

Beautiful!

These are some beautiful hydrangeas that I bought for the party for Kelly and Todd. They have lasted awhile and they are just beautiful.

Feliz CumpleaƱos!

Happy Birthday Lulubear. May all your birthdays be as special and may your mommy not drive you nuts like I am in this picture. I'll do my best, I promise!

Her favorite gift?

One of the things Lulu asked for as a birthday present was Band-Aids. Was it her favorite? Most likely, one of her faves.

And we are hoping one of her favorites will also be the easel we gave her. Lulu has taken an interest in art. Considering, I can't even draw a circle, she's already way more talented than I am.

Presents..for me?

Lulu loved opening her gifts and Duffy did a great job..ummm...watching.....

I'm three!

Later in the day, Duffy and I make cupcakes for Lulu.

May I please have a cupcake...

The "cool" birthday girl!

May 11, 2009-Lulu's Third Birthday

We woke up our lazy snoozer Lulu on her birthday by going into her room and singing happy birthday. Driscoll household rule is you can open up one present the morning of your birthday. Here is what Lulu opened up:

And then Mimi came by to give Lulu their present from Pappy and her. They gave her a great sink that matches her stove!

Happy Mother's Day!

Here is a picture of the what the kids made me for Mother's Day in school. I just love them!

Happy Birthday!

Presents from Barboo and Pops!

Here are some picture of Lulu opening her birthday presents from Barboo and Pops. She got a great music box and beautiful pearl necklace as well as some adorable dresses. Thanks Barboo and Pops!

Lulubear!

I love this picture of Lulubear. And, the chair she is sitting was a find in the neighborhood!

Duffy's new friend

A couple of weekends ago, Duffy found a new friend in our driveway. A friendly caterpillar he named Jack. We built a home for Jack in a jar with some twigs and grass. Jack did take a long nap in his new home and we were worried, but luckily, Jack woke up and was released back into the wild.

Brotherly love!

Stephen went into Lulu's room last night as she was crying. When he went to soothe her, Lulu was saying "don't eat my apple Duffy" in her sleep. Does it start this soon?

Funny Farm!

Here are some great funny faces and a few self-portraits as well.

A couple of weekends ago, we had a party for my sister, Kelly, who is getting married to a great guy named Todd. Here are some pictures as we get ready for the guests to arrive.
