Turtle, turtle
When we were walking back into Barboo and Pops' house, Stephen spotted this little friend in the front yard. It was awesome and the kids picked it up and got to play with the turtle for awhile.

'Burgacation (aka vacation in Williamsburg)
This past week, the family spent a couple of days for a mini-vacation in Williamsburg. We had a great time and loved spending time with Barboo and Pops. Here are some pictures of our activities...
Showing muscles at the pool...

Wisdom from a 3 year old...
Last night I casually said to Lulu, "You are being bad.". She turned around and said to me, "I AM NOT BEING BAD." "Duffy says I'm not bad, Daddy says I'm not bad, Yaya says I'm not bad. Just you".
Does it start already?

Goodbye four!
Goodbye four...as I was putting Duffy to bed tonight I said I love you so much. I can't believe you are are five. He said, "don't worry Mommy, I'm still your baby". Oh, I hope it stays that way for a very, very long time. Duffy: I love you so much. Goodbe four and hello FIVE, you special, special little boy. Mommy loves you so very much.
Yoda and a Storm Trooper?
We have a tradition of opening up one present the morning of your birthday. Here is Duffy opening his first birthday present. Recently, Duffy has found an interest in Star Wars, which is interesting considering he has never seen the movie. He knows that Yoda is "good" and the storm trooper is "bad".

Happy Birthday Duffy! Love, Lulu

Happy 5th Birthday Duff Duff!
Dearest Duffy:
Wow! Happy 5th birthday to the best boy on the planet. I can't believe you turned five today. Your Daddy and I are so proud of the boy you have become. You are always so happy. You love to laugh and make others smile. You are so very giving, especially with your sister. You always take wonderful care of her and include her in your activities. You are just a wonderful big brother.
We are so proud of you. You still love your Legos and you love to build things. You love your Razor scooter and you love to play outside. You are still incredibly bright. You ask lots of questions and you love to learn. You still love your books. You have incredible recall and remember things that I don't. And you still love your candy. I think you would eat candy every day if you could (and probably do!). You are a wonderful, warm and loving person. People love to be around you and you just light up a room.
We are so proud of you. You are just a wondeful, loving little boy. I can't wait to see what this year brings for you. You will be starting kindergarten in a month or so, and I just know that you will love learning so many new things. I can't tell you how proud I am of you. You make me a better person. You make me love life and I love you so very much. You always bring a smile to my face and a warm fuzzy in my heart.
I wish you a year of love, laughter and learning. Thank you for being such a wonderful little boy and always, always, always know how much I love you. I feel so blessed to have you in my life. You make everyone a better person. You always reach for the stars and live life to the fullest---traits I hope you have forever.
You truly are a special, special person and thank you for bringing so much joy to my life.
I love you more than I love candy and you are always, always in my heart.

The night before...
Tonight is the last night of Duffy being 4. I can't believe it. Our little boy is growing up. More tomorrow but wanted to express how much I love him and how I can't believe how fast time goes. I love you Duffy Driscoll with all my heart and more than I love candy. Goodnight little boy, tomorrow you wake up and you are 5! Love, Mommy!
Dutch Wonderland!
On Friday, Mimi, Pappy, Duffy, Lulu and I went to Dutch Wonderland (http://www.dutchwonderland.com/index.php). We had a great time and really enjoyed the rides. Duffy walked away with some great stories--to Mommy almost throwing up in the rocket to the lady showing us her plumber's bottom on the slide, we have memories to last us for years. Special thanks to Mimi and Pappy for a great time.
