When your kids make you laugh..

It just has to be the best feeling in the world. It's a pure laugh, funny and simple to the core. Last night, the kids were going bonkers so Stephen decided to have a game where both Duffy and Lulu had to sit still on a chair and see who could make it the longest. Lulu looks over at Daddy and says, "Is this a time out?". Duffy started laughing and then Stephen and I started laughing. Great times.

Barboo and Pops' Quick Visit

Yesterday afternoon while I was spending some time with the girls, Barboo and Pops stopped by on their way back from New York. I love this picture!

Uncle Jim

Here are some cute photos with the kids and their favorite "uncle".

Rain, rain go away...

For the past couple of days, we've had horrible rain which makes for cranky kids and not much to do outside. We did manage to brave the downpour on Saturday and headed out to run some errands. Here are the kiddos in their adorable rain gear.

Scary spider...

At one of the pumpkin patches we visited, there was a great scary spider. The kids loved it.

Halloween Prep

Duffy, Lulu and I went to Winchester this weekend to spend some time with Mimi and Pappy while Daddy worked on the house. On Sunday, we decided to do some Halloween prep and get some pumpkins. Here are some pictures of the kids enjoying the fall festivities at the pumpkin patches.

And how quickly the feeling changes...

On Friday night, "Mommy, you are the best Mommy in whole wide world". Thanks, Lulubear. I love you, too and you are the best Lulubear in the whole wide world.

3 or 13?

The other night I wanted Lulu to brush her teeth and in her typical stubborn way she did not. As you know, Mommy rules on this one so Lulu turned to me (mind you, she is only 3) and said.."You aren't my Mommy any more. You aren't my friend." Believe it or not, this guilty mother just laughed. However, it did make me pause and sigh a big UH OH, what happens when she becomes a teenager. Time will only tell. She did look very cute with her upturned lip and pouting face. I still love you Lulubear.

Sweatmandu..

A couple of weeks ago, Stephen ran a relay in Maryland over a 24 hour period. His relay team, Sweatmandu, did great and we were all so proud of him. Here's a picture of his team.

best buddies

On the waterfront...

After the festival, we drove down to the river and checked out the boats.

Find a little harmony...

One of the booths at the fair was "petting zoo" for instruments. Of course, our little "Bruce" gravitated to the booth and Duffy was pretty sold as well.

Arts on the Avenue

Last weekend, we went to Arts on the Avenue in Del Ray. I think the highlight was seeing the open firehouse. The fireman were super friendly and Duffy and Lulu loved checking out all the trucks.

School snacks or Scooby snacks?

Each month, Duffy is responsible for bringing snack to his kindergarten class. For September, we made popcorn (for 30!). We had a great time and Duffy did a fantastic job carrying this on the bus and providing a yummy snack for his friends.

Eggs for Mommy

A couple of weeks ago, Duffy decided to make me some breakfast. He decided to do this on his own without any prodding and was super excited to deliver the results of his work to me.

Soccer dude.

Here are some pictures of Duffy's first day of soccer.

Long time, no post

So, it's been a busy fall at our house and I'm finally back on the blog. School has started for both Duffy and Lulu and they both really love their class and their teachers. Duffy also started soccer again this fall, which he is really enjoying. Busy bees.
