Spooky parade

Last Sunday, there was a Halloween festival in the neighborhood, with a costume parade, good food, moon bounces, face painting, etc. It was a beautiful day and we really enjoyed our pre-Halloween fun!

We have really enjoyed getting ready for Halloween and made some really easy slice and back Halloween cookies. I think we had more fun making them than they tasted.

Hello, Fritz!

At a birthday party last weekend, Lulu received her newest prized possession, a stuffed animal, named Fritz. Here are some picture of her enjoying her new best friend.

Soccer fun!

Last weekend, I decided to take my camera to Duffy's soccer game and get some good portraits and shots of the star in action. There are also some really good shots of Lulu as she watched Duffy play--ever the doting sister!

Yesterday, Lulu had a birthday party and she actually agreed to wear a dress. I had to seize the moment and take some pictures of her all dressed up. Lulubear, you look beautiful.

Puppet Show..

Two weekends ago, Duffy and Lulu put together a fantastic puppet show (with the assistance of their director, Kelly). I was impressed with the show but I think they had more fun than anyone else.

Drappa at the Vets

Flash! A couple of weeks ago, Duffy and Lulu needed to take Drappa to the vets for a check-up and possible surgery. Good news is that all went well and Drappa is back to her old self. Her are some pictures of her visit.

Nice and tidy..

In addition to protecting the empire yesterday, we decided to straighten up the empire and do some cleaning in Duffy and Lulu's room. Our efforts mainly focused around Duffy's room, but we did a great job going through Duffy's bookcase. To quote Duffy, when we finished our work, "it was nice and tidy". Thanks, Duffy and Lulu. The empire looks great.

Laser Beams..

Yesterday, Lulu realized she had super powers and that her arms (or maybe the cuffs on her shirts), were Laser Beams. Wham! Pow! Bang! You got me Lulu. I love your laser beams.

Halloween Prep...

Just to make sure we kicked off Halloween season with a bang (and the fact that Lulu had been dying for sugar cookies since she doesn't like chocolate chip cookies), Lulu and I decided to get in the spirit and make some Halloween cookies. She did a great job and loved being the supreme cookie decorator.

You better watch out...

Last weekend, Stephen was running in the Ragnar Relay for the second year in a row so we decided to have a giant breakfast on his behalf at the local diner. As luck would have it, we had the best seats (from my perspective) in the restaurnt. Look to the left in the picture. Duffy and Lulu have never behaved so perfectly in public EVER.

Snack time!

After every soccer game, one of the families from the team is responsible for bringing snack to the game. The snacks vary from fruit to more of the true "snack" variety. Duffy practically drools after each game waiting to see if the snack is a healthy snack or something that "Mommy doesn't buy at the grocery store". If you look closely below you can see why he is smiling.

As you probably already know, it's soccer time again and that means that Lulu gets dragged to all of Duffy's soccer practices and games. I know she secretly loves it and really enjoys cheering him on during these events. Here are some pictures as the two of passed the time.
