Who's my teacher...
It has been a great summery but it's time to close it out with one of Mommy's favorite traditions, heading up to school to see who Duffy and Lulu have as their teacher for the

Happy 10th birthday!
Happy Birthday!
I can't believe you are 10! It really just seems like yesterday that your Dad and I were celebrating your birth and we were so happy to have a little boy. Mommy always wanted a boy and I felt so blessed to have had you in my life. The past 10 years have really flown by. You are growing up so quickly and getting very tall. You are one person that just loves life. You love to play and spend time with your friends. You have such a wonderful personality and are able to make friends so easily. You are just so much fun to be around and I love it when you make me laugh. You are still enjoying sports and just trying lots of them--lacrosse and swimming mostly. You still don't seem to like school too much but you do seem to like recess and lunch. And yes, you still have a huge sweet tooth. You can spot candy a mile a way.
I think one of the other great traits you have is you have such a good heart. You are so very kind to others, and always willing to make poeple happy. I think that is one of the reasons you make friends so easily--you are just so kind. I know that will always be a part of who you are and who you will be.
You are growing up right beneath my eyes and while I am ready to let you "fly", I still want you to be so close. I love you so much. Your smile, your eyes and your laughter--all of you make my days better and happier because I love you so much.
We are celebrating your birthday this year at Sea Island and you are able to celebrate with all of your cousins, enjoying the sun, the fishing and the golf courses. All fun things you love to do. I hope you have wonderful memories of this special day.

And more summer fun...
After spending time in Kiawah with Mimi and Pappy, we kept moving to go to Sea Island for a week with the other cousins. One our way to Sea Island, we stopped in Savannah and got stuck in one crazy summer storm. We survived and have memories to tell for years!

A Star is Born...
This summer, Lulu went to a drama class at a day camp and was able to perform "The Lion King". She did a great job memorizing her lines, learning the songs and I think she had a blast!
