Yesterday marked an important milestone for us--it was Lulu's last day of preschool and our last day of preschool, forever. We now have both Duffy and Lulu into elementary school full-time, starting this fall. I definitely got a little choked up as I dropped off Lulu and picked her up. There were no tears to be had by Lulu though, she is absolutely ready for kindergarten.
Our preschool has absolutely been amazing--it is a family environment that really taught Duffy and Lulu to love to play and learn how to make friends. To me, two of life's most important lessons. Thank you DM for all that you have done over the years. It was a great place to start our children's education.
Here are a few pictures of our last day..

Saving the best for last...
We saved Lulu's favorite present for last...a SKATEBOARD! Yes, we are crazy to give her this but she is a child who really doesn't ask for much and this is one gift she asked for repeatedly. Lulubear, we love you; please don't break any bones!
Happy Birthday Lulubear!
May 11th started earlier than ever when our typical late sleeper/sleepyhead woke up earlier than ever to celebrate her 5th BIRTHDAY! We were so excited that our babygirl was turning five and I think she was more excited than ever, to see what presents she received. Enjoy...

Waiting for Mommy and Daddy to get organized with the presents..

Mommy's Day Love..
I had a fantastic Mother's Day--it was beautiful day and I really enjoyed spending time together as a family. Lulu brought home a nice plant from school and Duffy made me a wonderful card, with the details below.
Look what's in the backyard?
Mother's Day weekend as we were doing some yardwork, Stephen found a mommy bunny and about six baby bunnies in our backyard under the deck. We were so excited that they had made our home their home. Here are some pictures of us enjoying the little thumpers.

Lulu's 5!
Dearest Lulubear:
Happy 5th birthday to one of the sweetest, most lovable girls I have ever seen. I really can't believe you are 5. How fast the time has gone. It really does seem like just yesterday we were coming home from the hospital and you were "giving" Duffy his Thomas the Train present. Lulubear, I love you more than words can say. I love your smile. I love that you love music. And singing. And dancing. And laughing. I love that you tell CRAZY stories and come up with the wildest explanations. I love that you are inquisitive and ask great questions. I love that you are so lovable. I love that you always smile. I love that you are dramatic and yes, even a bit manipulative.
You still idolize your brother but you are starting to get more competitive with him. You still let him "tell you what to do" but you are starting to push back. You are starting to become more independent, although you often say, "don't worry, Mommy, I will always be your baby". You are starting to love sports more and love being a free spirit.
You still love salty foods but you are adventurous-you are willing to try most things. You now like shrimp and lettuce and fish but you still just love a happy meal.
You will be entering kindergarten in the fall and my hope for you is that you always continue to love life the way you do now. You just love every minute of every day and truly love making people laugh and smile. That is a wonderful trait. You love being around people. I wish for you all the happiness and joy in the word--you deserve it as you have given us so much love in our lives. I wish you a year of good health, lots of fun in your new school and a million smiles.
Lulubear-I love you with all my heart. Thank you for making me smile every single day.
Love (wet kiss),
Mommy

Goodbye 4!
Dearest Lulu, where has the time gone? I can't believe we are saying goodbye to 4. It's been a wonderful year and we are so very proud of you. You are growing into quite the beautiful little girl--but you will always, always be Mommy's baby girl. Goodbye 4, we loved every minute of it.
Soccer time!
We have had a very rainy spring and we haven't had too many opportunities for soccer practice. However, it was a beautiful Saturday so here is a picture of Lulu all geared up for her soccer practice.

Look Mom! I'm on TV...
Pappy asked Duffy and Lulu to walk over to the tv booth this year while he was interviewed before the parade. Lulu joined Pappy during his interview and even had her name mentioned a couple of times. I think she was more focused on the montior than the actual camera!
Apple Blossom 2011
This year, we made a quick trip to the Bloom 2011. We had a great time and really enjoyed seeing all of our friends.
Mommy, it sure gets loud during the parade!
Hanging with Mommy before the parade starts.
Loving Pappy...
