Let's dance, part 2.

The other night Duffy and Lulu wanted to break out their dancing moves. Enjoy the photos of our version of Dancing with the Stars..

Jellyfish

There were so many jellyfish down by the docks at Katherine's wedding. I wasn't sure if they would show up on the camera but it looks like they did. They are amazing creatures and I was fascinated watching them.

Congratulations Jim and Katherine!

Last weekend, Stephen and I headed to the Tides Inn to celebrate Jim and Katherine's wedding. It was a beautiful weekend and we had a fantastic time. They are wonderful friends and we are so happy for them. Thank you for a super time and congratulations! We love you so much!

Caterpillar treats

One of our new favorite things to make is rice crispie treats and we have found a great way to make them even more fun and yummy. After making the batch of treats, we turn them into a giant caterpillar and decorate them with sprinkles and any treats we have around the house. We take two straws to make antennaes and usually red hots or M&Ms for the eyes. We love our creativity and it also a great distraction!

Neptune

Enjoying the statue of Neptune, god of the sea.

Let the show begin..

Duffy and Lulu really enjoying the performance:

Shannon Tanner

One night, we went across the street to Shelter Cove to hear Shannon Tanner, a singer who really engages the children throughout his performance. Besides the fact that it was extremly hot and humid, we had a great time and Duffy and Lulu really enjoyed the show.

Having fun before the performance:

Sea Pines Fun

One night we drove down to Sea Pines for some nighttime fun. Duffy and Lulu found a really fun tree to climb. I think they had more fun with the tree than they did looking at the boats and eating their ice cream.

Snap, crackle, pop!

For the fourth, Stephen, Duffy and Pappy drove about 40 miles to purchase fireworks. They came back with a bunch and we all decided to walk down to the beach for our own personal fireworks show. I'm not sure who had more fun, Duffy or Pappy but it was a great way to spend the 4th.

Growing up fast..

Duffy really seems to have grown up overnight into a little boy. The sky was gorgeous this night so here are some really nice pictures of the kids playing in the water and enjoying the summer night.

It's a bird, no it's a plane, it's a...

KITE...

Hitting the beach..

Our first night on the island, we all decided to head down to the beach and fly a kite. With Daddy's help, Duffy and Lulu did a great job and we loved the beautiful weather and gorgeous sky.

VACAY

We had a wonderful vacation this summer with Mimi and Pappy over the 4th of July holiday. We all decided to take a road trip to Hilton Head Island in South Carolina. We braved the holiday traffic and had a great time on our trip. We made it about 3/4th of the way there on Friday night to Florence, South Carolina where Duffy and Lulu enjoyed staying a hotel (ooh, elevator, ooh, there is free shampoo). We then got up the next morning and made the three hour drive to HHI. It was a great trip and we feel so lucky to have spent the week together as a family. Here are some pictures to enjoy....
