Happy Birthday, Lulu!
Lulubear:
Happy Birthday to the most special and wonderful girl in the world. You bring our family so much happiness. You know how to make us all laugh and you know how to make us smile. You are always so very happy and you make us all stop and enjoy life. You are 8 now! I can't believe it. It seems like yesterday we were bringing you home from the hospital and everyone was saying how much they loved the name Lulu. When people meet you, they just smile. You had a great year. You really loved 2nd grade and loved your teacher, Ms. Butler. You started enjoying math and made some great new friends this year. You are still swimming, but I don't think it's your favorite. You also enjoy lacrosse and tennis. But I think this year you figured out that you really love to SING and ACT. You can stay in your room for hours and play much and write songs. You love to perform for us and do shows. I think you could that for days. You also love to watch video on your iPad and practice the songs.
Lulu, you bring me so much happiness. I see you and you make me so very proud to be your mommy. There are so many wonderful traits that you bring to my life. You make me realize that life is great and that there are so many things to enjoy. You are a very positive person and you always make the best of things. You are also so kind and are always making sure your friends and included and having a nice time. You are thoughtful and considerate of others. I love you so very much. I think about you every minute of every day and am so glad to have you as my Lulubear.
Lulubear--I love you so very much. May 8 bring you smiles, laughter and happiness.
Love you,
Mommy

Barboo
Duffy and Lulu,
Today was a very sad day today as your wonderful grandmother, Barboo passed away. She fought a very tough battle with cancer but she is in heaven smiling down at us. Barboo was a wonderful grandmother and she loved you both very much. She was always so active with you, loved playing with you and always with a gentle hand. She was a wonderful cook, she never complained and she always had a wonderful outlook on everything. My hopes for the two of you is that you inherit so many of her wonderful traits and that you heart remains full with so many special memories.
God bless you, Barboo. We love you.

Apple Blossom!
This year, Lulu was selected to be a little maid in the Apple Blossom festival. Mimi was very generous and drove her to her many practices. Lulu had a great time and loved being on stage, wearing a pretty dress and riding in the parade. It was a special day for her!
